CHASSIS
The chassis, as the main structural component, must enable the acceptance of all other vehicle systems and ensure the necessary rigidity of the vehicle. The goal in design is to minimize mass and maximize key quantities such as torsional stiffness. The construction materials that currently dominate are steel and aluminum, and the implementation of composite materials in the structure is being intensively researched. Knowledge of material mechanics and related engineering branches, vehicle dynamics and basic engineering principles is essential in component design, analysis and optimization. The team's vision is to create a monocoque car chassis and to integrate as many structural composite components as possible.
